Installing the Symbol Desktop Wallet⚓︎

What Is It⚓︎

The Symbol Desktop Wallet is a graphical application used to interact with the Symbol blockchain. It allows users to manage multiple accounts, send and receive transactions, sign multisig operations, view metadata, and more.

There are two versions of the wallet:

  • Native application: An installable desktop app available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Web application: A browser-based version with the same core functionality, but does not support Ledger hardware wallets.

The wallet interface is available in multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Russian.

How to Install It⚓︎

You can download the latest version of the Symbol Desktop Wallet from the official release page:

To Install the Native Version⚓︎

  1. Go to the release page and download the installer for your operating system.
  2. Launch the installer and follow the installation steps for your platform.

Once installed, you can open the application from your desktop or applications folder.

To Install the Browser Version⚓︎

  1. Go to the release page and download the .all.zip file.
  2. Unzip the contents into a new folder.
  3. Double-click the index.html file.

You can create a shortcut to this file for quicker access in the future.
